There is sly smile in that final line, Charley! Like the image of mist rising from the morning water – it does have a haunting look about it. Nice job!

Thank you! This was originally something entirely different (a Hallowe’en haiku), but I didn’t like it that way. Stripped it down to the frame and did a rebuild. I like this much better — fresh paint and all.
