A Turn at the Nocturne

Spot light
slightly from the right
keyboard bright
fingers reflect
in black enamel kiss
the keys caress
pearl and ebon
pianist lost
in the century the music
has dormant lain
until fingers kiss
it back to life again

  1. Intriguing! You have shown that wonderful connection between the artist and the reader, here the composer and the musician. The kissing it back to life after dormancy is a brilliant way of looking at it. Love this nocturne, Charley!
