Lunar Tick

“The moon is to blame.  I am innocent.” – Jim Harrison

Blame the eclipse.

Sure correlation.

Bad juju in the air

Lunar causation?

Maybe coincidence.

Maybe my bias.

Lunar causation?

Meet the werewolf.

Greet the lunatic.

Blame the rabbit

dancing across the surface.

Blame the woman

sitting brushing out her hair.

Lunar causation?

Sure correlation.

I didn’t do it.

You can’t prove it.

They’re out to get me.

Blame it on the moon.

I didn’t do nothing!

  1. Oh so much here – the punny title is perfect, the repetition so effective, like the cycles of the moon, and I really love the double negative in the last line. Thanks for joining in with the 28 days! You do this poem-thing really well, Charley 🙂
